Healthcare Uniforms in Auckland
Healthcare uniforms get replaced one starter at a time, so two years in, a practice can be wearing three shades of the same blue with the logo sitting in three different places. We decorate them in Glenfield — tunics, polos, trousers and jackets — hold your logo on record so the tenth order matches the first, and courier the box to the practice.
Decorated in Glenfield, couriered to the practice — Mon–Fri 8:30am–5:30pm.
Before you ask
- What we do
- We decorate uniforms with your logo — stitched or pressed, in our own Glenfield workshop. Supply your own garments or we will source the blanks with the job.
- Who we deal with
- Clinics, dental and vet practices, physio and allied health, and private providers of any size. One contact, one quote, one delivery.
- Methods
- Logos stitched in-house on our own machine; names, roles and full-colour artwork pressed in-house on our own heat press.
- Reorders
- Your setup stays on record, so an August starter matches the team hired in March and never pays setup again.
What we supply
The garments a practice actually orders
Clinic uniforms are usually four or five garments, not a catalogue. We decorate them — we do not manufacture them — so you can supply stock you already buy, or we will source the blanks and quote them with the rest of the job. We courier medical uniforms Auckland-wide and healthcare uniforms NZ-wide, all from the one workshop in Glenfield.
Which method a garment takes is decided by what it goes through rather than by preference. Both methods run on healthcare gear, and the embroidery and printing pages explain each one in full.
Why healthcare is different
What nursing uniforms go through that office wear does not
Medical uniforms are worn closer to people than almost anything else we decorate, and washed harder than all of it. Four differences below change what we recommend, not just what we charge.
Washed hot, and washed often
A corporate polo gets a warm domestic cycle once a week. A tunic gets a hot wash after every shift, sometimes commercially, for as long as it lasts. Thread copes with that; a surface print on a garment washed that hard will lift at the edges first, and we will say so before you order rather than after.
There is already something hanging on the chest
A lanyard, an ID clip, a fob watch, a stethoscope and a pocket all want the same 15 centimetres. A logo placed by habit ends up underneath one of them for most of the day. We set the placement off the actual garment on an actual person and write the measurement down.
Staff change faster than the uniform does
Most practices we quote are replacing two or three garments at a time rather than the whole set. That only works if your setup has not moved — same size, same position, same thread — so a starter in August is indistinguishable from the team hired in March.
One practice, more than one look
Clinical in one colour, reception in another, and often a third for the people out the back. The same logo has to read on all of them, and a navy logo that looks sharp on white disappears on navy — so we work out the thread and transfer colours across the whole set at once, not garment by garment.
Two ways to start
Ready to sort the practice uniform?
Most quotes go back the same business day. There is no obligation and no minimum order.
Or call 021 082 12843 — Mon–Fri 8:30am–5:30pm.
What happens next
- 1. You send rough numbers and what the team does.
- 2. We come back with garment options and a price per garment, decoration included, usually the same business day.
- 3. Once you go ahead, we confirm logo size and placement in writing before anything is decorated.
How it works
How a practice order runs
Three steps, and nothing is decorated until somebody at the practice has approved a proof.
Step 1
Send the logo and the list
Your logo artwork, which garments you want it on, and rough numbers by size. Rough is genuinely fine at this stage — we will come back with what we would change.
Step 2
We quote it
Garment options and one price per garment with the decoration already in it, per size run, usually back the same business day. Not a garment cost and a branding cost for you to add together.
Step 3
Proof, decorate, courier
You approve a digital proof and we confirm logo size and placement in writing. Then the order is stitched or pressed here in Glenfield and couriered to the practice.
Embroidery carries a one-off setup if we have not already set your logo up at that size — that is the step where your artwork becomes machine instructions, and the exact stitch count and price are only known once it is done. One setup covers your garments at the same logo size, so tunics, polos and jackets share it; a much larger version for a back or a bag needs its own, because it is not just the same stitching enlarged. Your logo stays yours, the stitch file we build from it is ours, and we keep it on record so the next order never pays setup again.
Managed supply
Reorders that match what people are already wearing
A practice rarely reorders a uniform. It reorders two of them, in June, for someone who started last week. Our part is making that arrive looking like the rest of the team rather than close enough.
Your logo, kept on record
Set up once, then stored with the size, the position and the thread colours we agreed. Every later order runs from it, so consistency is not something anyone has to remember or re-specify.
One delivery, sorted how you asked
Bagged by person or by size and couriered to the practice in one go. What happens after that — pigeonholes, a staffroom table, a handover to the practice manager — is yours to run.
Two-garment top-ups are normal
New starters do not arrive in batches. A pair of tunics mid-year is an ordinary order, not a favour, and the setup was paid long ago.
What we will not do is tell you what decorating a garment does to its certification. If a garment is certified or specified for something, we have nothing in writing about what stitching or pressing does to that — so we are not going to claim it survives, and we are not going to claim it does not. Confirm the requirement against the garment’s own certification and your own policy first, tell us what it says, and we will either decorate to it or tell you we cannot. We also do not hold stock on your behalf and we do not sell to your staff directly: everything is quoted to the practice, decorated in Glenfield and couriered. If what you actually want is a supplier who runs the whole uniform programme including the wearer-facing side, we are not that, and it is worth knowing now rather than three emails in.
Questions
Questions practices ask before they order
If yours is not here, ask when you request a quote and you will get a straight answer.
Do you sell scrubs, or decorate the ones we already buy?
Either, and most practices start with the second. If you already have a garment that fits your team, send it in and we will decorate that. If you would rather not manage two suppliers, we source the blanks and quote them with the decoration in one line. What we are not is a uniform retailer — there is no showroom and no rack to browse, so choosing happens over email with real product codes and colour names in front of you.
Should the logo be embroidered or printed?
Embroidered for anything worn daily and washed hot — tunics, polos, jackets. Thread survives a wash cycle that a surface print will not, and a stitched logo normally outlasts the garment it sits on. Print earns its place where the artwork changes with the person wearing it, like names and roles, and where there is more colour in the logo than thread can sensibly carry. We stitch here on our own machine and we press every transfer here on our own heat press; the transfers themselves are printed for us by a trusted partner.
Where does the logo actually go on a tunic?
Usually the left chest, and usually not where it would go on a polo. A clinical top is already carrying a lanyard, an ID clip and a pocket, so a logo positioned by habit spends most of the day underneath one of them. Send a photo of the garment being worn, or post us one, and we will set the placement off that and record the measurement. Every order after that uses the same number instead of a fresh guess.
Can you put names or roles on each garment?
Yes — names, roles or initials, stitched or pressed under the logo. They are quoted per garment because each one is its own run rather than a repeat of the last. It is worth deciding early: a named tunic cannot be handed on to the next person in that role, which is fine for a settled team and wasteful somewhere with real turnover. Plenty of practices name the clinical staff and leave reception generic.
Is there a minimum order?
No. Four tunics or four hundred. Larger runs price better per unit because the setup is spread further, but there is no minimum quantity. A very small order does carry a handling charge, for the same reason the per-unit price moves: setting the machine up and running it takes much the same work for four garments as for forty. The charge is on your quote before you commit to anything.
How much do healthcare uniforms cost?
Every job is quoted. The garment, the decoration method and the quantity all move the number, so a stitched logo on sixty tunics and a pressed name on six are not the same job at different scales. You get one price per garment with the decoration already in it, given per size run, rather than a garment cost and a branding cost to add together. Send the logo and rough numbers and the quote usually comes back the same business day.
Does decorating a garment change what it is certified for?
We do not know, so we will not tell you either way. Nobody has given us that in writing, and it is not the sort of thing to guess at in the direction that suits us. If a garment carries a certification, or your infection-control policy specifies one, confirm what it allows against the garment’s own certification and your own policy — then tell us, and we will either decorate to that or say plainly that we cannot. If we ever get it confirmed by a supplier or a certifier, we will say so and name the source.
Can someone from the practice collect an order?
No. We are a service-area business — the workshop is in Glenfield and there is no counter, so there are no walk-ins and nothing is collected in person. Orders start with a message or a phone call, artwork comes over email, and the finished uniforms are couriered to the practice, anywhere in the country. Allow 5–21 working days from artwork approval — quick for a top-up off a file we already hold, longer for a first order that has to be digitised.
Send us the logo and the headcount
Usually same-business-day replies, Mon–Fri. Rough numbers are enough to start.
