Hoodies and sweatshirts
Custom hoodies, branded for crews who live in them
The custom hoodies NZ businesses order are mostly worn, not issued — which is why they are the one garment staff keep after they leave. In practice, work hoodies in NZ are the mid-weight ones with a logo small enough to sit clear of the pouch and the hood seam. Supplied and branded, or decorated on the stock you already buy.
Decorated in Glenfield, couriered to you — Mon–Fri 8:30am–5:30pm.

The range
Embroidered hoodies, pullovers to zip-throughs
The best hoodies for embroidery are the mid-weight brushed fleeces: dense enough that a stitched logo sits on the surface instead of sinking into the pile, and stable enough that it does not pucker. Lighter french terry and heavyweight loopback both work too, they just want the logo sized differently. Hoodies for embroidery are worth picking on fabric before colour, because the fabric is what decides how the logo reads a year in.
Pullover hoodies
The default, and the one most crews mean. An uninterrupted front except for the pouch, so a left chest sits comfortably and a back print has the whole panel. The hood adds weight at the shoulders, which is worth knowing if your team wears them all day.
Zip-through hoodies
Easier on and off over a uniform, and the one people reach for on site. A zip runs down the centre, so a centred chest logo is not an option — it goes left chest, or across the back where there is room for it.
Crew necks and quarter-zips
A sweatshirt with no hood, which some workplaces prefer and some require. A quarter-zip reads a step smarter and is the one corporate teams tend to land on when a full hoodie feels too casual for the room.
Heavyweight brushed fleece
The warm end, at 300gsm and up. Holds its shape through a winter outdoors and takes a dense logo without complaint. Slower to dry, and heavier to post, which shows up on a big order going to the South Island.
Lighter summer weights
French terry and lighter blends for shoulder seasons, gyms and indoor teams. Thinner fabric means a large stitched logo needs support underneath to sit flat, so this is the weight where a pressed transfer often suits better.
Womens cuts
A shaped body with a narrower shoulder and a shorter sleeve, not a smaller mens hoodie. Ordering the cut people actually want is the single thing that most decides whether a garment gets worn or lives in a drawer.
A hoodie is not always the right garment, and it is worth saying so before you order forty of them. If your team meets customers in an office, a quarter-zip or a softshell reads smarter and lasts the same. If they are outside in winter, a hoodie under a jacket is warmer than a heavier hoodie on its own. And if the gear is for summer, most crews get more wear out of a tee and reach for the hoodie twice.
The two garments people most often order instead, once they have thought about it, are work jackets for the teams who are outside and t-shirts for the ones who are not.
Branding hoodies
Embroidered or printed hoodies: where the logo can actually go
A hoodie looks like it has the most room of anything we decorate and it has the least usable. Three things get decided before anyone turns a machine on.
The pouch and the hood eat the panel
The flat area between the shoulder seam and the top of the pouch is shorter than it looks, and a logo that runs into either one puckers as soon as the garment moves. Left chest is the safe default, the back is where a big design belongs, and a sleeve is the third option nobody asks for and everybody likes.
Brushed fleece has a pile, and a logo can sink into it
Fleece is not a flat surface. Fine detail and thin lettering disappear into the pile unless the logo is built to sit on top of it, or sized up so the detail survives. We will tell you which parts of a logo will not read at the size you want before it is stitched, not after.
A zip changes where the centre is
On a zip-through there is no centre chest — the zip is there. A design meant to sit in the middle either moves to the left chest at a smaller size or goes on the back at full size. Where the design goes is worth settling at quote time, because it changes which garment you should be ordering.
Both methods are on the table. The custom embroidered hoodies reordered in NZ are the durable default, because thread going into fleece outlasts anything sitting on top of it. The custom printed hoodies NZ teams order tend to be the ones with a big front or back design, full colour artwork, or a photographic element thread simply cannot hold.
On a mixed order there is no reason to pick one for the whole run. The embroidered hoodies NZ crews wear on site can come off the same quote as the pressed ones for the team that wants the big back design.
Two ways to start
Get your crew into hoodies they will actually wear
Most quotes go back the same business day. There is no obligation and no minimum order.

What happens next
- 1. You send rough numbers and what the team does.
- 2. We come back with garment options and a price per garment, decoration included, usually the same business day.
- 3. Once you go ahead, we confirm logo size and placement in writing before anything is decorated.
How it works
From a rough number to a boxed order
Ordering custom hoodies with a logo in Auckland runs to the same three steps as everything else we do. The one thing worth getting right on this garment is the logo size, because a hoodie gives you less flat panel than you think.
Step 1
Send the numbers and the logo
A garment code if you have one, or just "navy pullovers, about twenty, mixed sizes". Send the logo in whatever form you have it, and say where you want it — or ask, because on a hoodie the honest answer is sometimes "smaller than that".
Step 2
We quote it per garment, decoration included
One price per garment per size run with the branding already in it, plus a one-time setup if the job is stitched and we have not already set your logo up at that size. We will say whether stitching or a press suits the weight and the placement you have picked.
Step 3
You approve it, then we decorate it
Size and position confirmed in writing before anything is decorated. Then the order is stitched or pressed here, packed and couriered out with tracking.
On embroidery, a price is an estimate until the logo is digitised. The exact stitch count — and with it the final price — is only known once your logo, at the size you want it, has been turned into machine instructions by a one-time setup. That setup is charged once at that size and kept on record, so reorders for new starters skip it entirely. One setup covers your garments at the same logo size, so hoodies and polo shirts share it; caps stitch differently and need their own. A pressed transfer has no stitch count, so nothing on the print side works this way.
Who we brand hoodies for
Orders for branded hoodies in Auckland tend to come from three places, and each one buys them for a different reason.
Questions
Questions people ordering hoodies ask
If yours is not here, ask when you request a quote and you will get a straight answer.
Do you supply the hoodies, or do I?
Either. We buy blanks from the NZ wholesalers most workwear ranges come off, so a whole crew is quoted the same way as a single hoodie, or you send us stock you have already bought and we decorate that. If your team already likes a particular hoodie, there is no reason to change it just to get a logo on it.
Should a hoodie be embroidered or printed?
Stitched, for most orders. Embroidered hoodies in Auckland hold up better because thread goes into the fleece rather than sitting on it, and a hoodie gets washed hard. Printing wins in two cases: a design too big or too detailed for thread, and full colour artwork where matching thread would mean compromises. We will tell you which one your logo actually needs rather than which one we would rather run.
Can you put the logo on the hood, or on the pouch?
On the hood, sometimes — a small mark on one side works, across the seam does not, because a hood is two curved panels with a join down the middle. On the pouch, no: the front of a pouch is a double layer with an opening through it, and stitching across that pulls the pocket out of shape. The alternatives are a left chest, the back panel, or a sleeve.
Do you screen print hoodies?
No. There is no screen setup here — no screens, no carousel, no dryer — so if a job genuinely needs screen printing you are better off with a shop that has one, and we will say so. For almost everything a business orders on a hoodie, a pressed transfer gets there with no screen fee and no colour limit, and stitching gets there with more durability than either.
How long does it take?
Roughly 5 to 21 working days from artwork approval. A reorder of something we already hold on file with stock on the shelf sits at the quick end; a new logo, a garment we have to bring in, or a full size run for a new team sits at the slow end. If you have a hard date, say so when you ask and you will get an honest answer about whether it is achievable rather than an optimistic one.
Can I come and pick it up?
No. There is no shop, no showroom and no walk-ins — the workshop is not set up for visitors. Everything goes out by courier with tracking, Auckland included, so the answer is the same wherever you are.
Do you deliver outside Auckland?
Yes — North Island and South Island, rural addresses included. We decorate in Glenfield on Auckland’s North Shore and everything ships from there with tracking, so an order of printed hoodies in Auckland, or the same run going to Christchurch, Wellington or Dunedin, arrives on an overnight or two-day courier depending on the address. A heavyweight fleece is a bulkier parcel than a tee, which is the only thing that changes.
What do branded hoodies cost?
Every job is quoted, so there are no prices published here. The garment moves the price most — a 300gsm brushed fleece and a light french terry are not close — then whether the logo is stitched or pressed, then how many you order. A very small order also carries a handling charge, since the setup behind a job is much the same for one hoodie as for fifty. Send rough numbers and the logo and you will get a price per garment back, usually the same business day.
Send us the numbers and the logo
Usually same-business-day replies, Mon–Fri. One hoodie is a real order.
