Custom tees

Custom t-shirts with your artwork on them, one or a thousand

Custom t-shirts NZ-wide with your logo or artwork on them. We supply the blanks or decorate the tees you already have — pressed for full-colour artwork, stitched when it needs to outlast the garment. The custom t-shirts Auckland clubs, crews and event organisers order start here, and one tee is a real order.

Decorated in Glenfield, couriered to you — Mon–Fri 8:30am–5:30pm.

The range

Custom tees, crew neck to long sleeve

NZ t shirts come off a short list of wholesale ranges, so the real choice is weight, cut and fabric rather than brand. The tee shirts stocked in NZ run from a 150gsm summer tee to a 220gsm heavyweight that holds its shape through a season. The custom tee shirts NZ businesses actually reorder tend to be the middle of that range, because a mid-weight tee prints cleanly and survives the wash.

We do not screen print. There is no screen setup here — no screens, no carousel, no dryer — so if a job genuinely needs screen printing we will say so and you are better off with a shop that has one. For almost everything a business orders, a pressed transfer gets there with no screen fee and no colour limit.

A tee is also not always the right garment. If your team needs a collar in front of customers, or something that reads smarter than a tee, polo shirts and work shirts do that job better.

Branding tees

Printed and embroidered tee shirts: what a jersey front changes

Custom t shirt printing is the one job on this site where the garment helps rather than fights you. Three things behave differently on a tee, and they are why so many business orders for t shirt printing NZ-wide end up pressed rather than stitched.

  • The front is one clear panel

No placket, no buttons, no seam through the middle — so a tee takes a full-front print at a size no other garment in our range can. That is the whole reason print leads on this garment. If your artwork is a big graphic, a back print, or anything with a photograph in it, this is where it belongs.

  • Jersey is thin, and it stretches

T shirts for embroidery need backing or the stitching pulls the knit out of shape, and a dense logo on a light summer tee will always feel stiffer than the same logo on a polo. We back the fabric before it goes near the machine. Send the artwork early and we will tell you whether the t shirts to embroider that you have picked are heavy enough to carry it.

  • The fabric mix sets the press

Cotton takes heat well and is the easy one. Polyester and performance blends are heat-sensitive, so a transfer goes on cooler and slower, and the dye in some polyesters can bleed into a white print over the following weeks. Send the style code and you will hear about that before you order rather than after.

A tee takes both methods, and unlike a polo the press usually wins. Tee shirts printed with a transfer carry full colour, photographs and gradients that thread cannot hold, at a size the front panel makes easy. Embroidery still earns its place on a left chest for staff gear that gets industrially laundered, or where a stitched mark simply reads better than tee printing would. Which suits your job is a question about the artwork, and the embroidery and printing pages explain each method properly.

Two ways to start

Get your crew into custom tees

Most quotes go back the same business day. There is no obligation and no minimum order.

Or call 021 082 12843 — Mon–Fri 8:30am–5:30pm.

What happens next

  1. 1. You send rough numbers and what the team does.
  2. 2. We come back with garment options and a price per garment, decoration included, usually the same business day.
  3. 3. Once you go ahead, we confirm logo size and placement in writing before anything is decorated.

How it works

From artwork to a boxed run

Tee shirt printing runs to the same three steps as everything else we do. A tee is the simplest garment we decorate, and the process does not get more complicated than that.

  • Step 1

Send the artwork and the numbers

A style code if you have one, or just "black tees, about forty, mixed sizes". Send the artwork in whatever form you have it — the higher the resolution the better for a print, but we will tell you if what you have is not big enough before anyone commits to it.

  • Step 2

We quote it per garment, decoration included

One price per garment per size run with the branding already in it, plus a one-time setup if the job is stitched and we have not already set your logo up at that size. We will say whether a press or embroidery suits your artwork, and how big the front print can go on the cut you have picked.

  • Step 3

You approve it, then we decorate it

Size and position confirmed in writing before anything is decorated. Then the order is pressed or stitched here, packed and couriered out with tracking.

On embroidery, a price is an estimate until the logo is digitised. The exact stitch count — and with it the final price — is only known once your logo, at the size you want it, has been turned into machine instructions by a one-time setup. That setup is charged once at that size and kept on record, so reorders for new starters skip it entirely. One setup covers your garments at the same logo size, so tees and hoodies share it; caps stitch differently and need their own. A pressed transfer has no stitch count, so nothing on the print side works this way.

Who we print and stitch tees for

For clubs, crews and events, tee shirts printing is the biggest single run we do, and most of it goes to three kinds of customer.

Questions

Questions people ordering custom t shirts ask

If yours is not here, ask when you request a quote and you will get a straight answer.

Do you supply the tees, or do I?

Either. We source most branded t shirts Auckland businesses wear from the same NZ wholesalers, or you send us stock you have already bought and we decorate that. The custom t shirts we brand in Auckland usually start as a plain garment off a wholesaler shelf, and if you already have a range your staff like there is no reason to change it just to get a logo on it.

Printed or embroidered on a tee — which should I pick?

Printed, most of the time. The personalised t shirts ordered in NZ are usually full colour or photographic, and a pressed transfer carries that at a size the front panel makes easy. Embroidery is the better answer for a left-chest logo on staff gear that goes through a commercial wash weekly, because stitching has nothing on the surface to lift. Personalised t shirt printing also has no per-colour cost, so a six-colour design prices the same as a one-colour one.

Do you screen print?

No. We have no screen-printing setup — no screens, no carousel, no dryer — so it is not something we can quote. For a business order that is rarely a loss: a heat transfer has no screen fee and no per-colour charge, which is what makes screen printing expensive on short runs in the first place. If you genuinely need screen printing, say so and we will tell you straight rather than talk you into a transfer.

Will the print survive the wash?

A properly pressed transfer washes well for the life of a tee if it is turned inside out and kept out of a hot dryer, which is the same advice any decorator will give you. The embroidered t shirts Auckland businesses put through a commercial laundry hold up better again — stitching cannot crack or peel. If your gear goes through an industrial wash every week, order logo t shirts Auckland-wide with the chest mark stitched and stop thinking about it.

How long does it take?

Roughly 5 to 21 working days from artwork approval. A reorder of something we already have on file with stock on the shelf sits at the quick end; a new logo, a new garment or a run that needs blanks brought in sits at the slow end. If you have a hard date — an event, a season opener, a trade show — say so when you ask and you will get an honest answer about whether it is achievable rather than an optimistic one.

Do you deliver outside Auckland?

Yes — North Island and South Island, rural addresses included. We decorate in Glenfield on Auckland's North Shore and everything ships from there with tracking, so for t shirt printing Christchurch and Wellington customers, orders usually arrive on an overnight or two-day courier depending on the address. Ordering t shirt printing New Zealand-wide from an Auckland decorator costs you a courier leg and nothing else.

Can I come and pick it up?

No. There is no shop, no showroom and no walk-ins — the workshop is not set up for visitors. Everything goes out by courier with tracking, Auckland included, so the answer is the same wherever you are.

What do custom t shirts cost?

Every job is quoted, so there are no prices published here. The blank you pick moves the price most, then whether the artwork is pressed or stitched, then how many you order. A very small order also carries a handling charge, since the setup behind a job is much the same for one tee as for fifty. Send rough numbers and the artwork and you will get a price per garment back, usually the same business day.

Send us the artwork and the numbers

Usually same-business-day replies, Mon–Fri. One tee is a real order.
